If your device is powered ON, and you can see an LED light on the box which confirms that your device is powered up, but you are getting ‘no signal’ on your TV – please read on.
However, if you cannot see an LED light on the box, this could indicate no power being delivered to the device – you may need to physically press the ON button on the tv box itself (not on the remote), to initiate the start up process. (this is generally the case with MINIX boxes).
Starting the troubleshooting process:
The first thing to check is the HDMI connection. Ensure that both ends of the HDMI are plugged in all the way into your tv box, with the other end into your TV. Sometimes you may need to apply some pressure for the HDMI cable to securely enter the port (there are cases where the HDMI cable appears to be plugged in, but need a little push to fully connect).
You will now need to confirm that you have selected the correct HDMI Source on your TV. Your TV will generally have more than 1 HDMI channel, so if you are not sure which HDMI port you have plugged the box into, you can flick through all the HDMI channels to check if the screen is active on one of them. If your tv box has been sitting idle for a while, it may be in ‘sleep mode’. Try pressing on any button on the remote to wake it up.
Another reason this can occur is if a user accidentally changes the screen resolution to something which is not compatible with your TV. For example, if the android settings had HDMI set to ‘auto detect’, but then you changed it to ‘example resolution’, and your TV doesn’t support ‘example resolution’ , you will be faced with a ‘no signal’.
The way to get it to work again, is to plug it into a computer monitor (generally better than plugging it into a TV), and then changing the screen resolution back to ‘auto detect’ or back to a compatible resolution for your TV. Feel free to try it on another TV if you do not have a computer monitor on hand.
A common error is that people may change the resolution to 4K with a 4K compatible box, and if your TV is not a 4K TV, this will cause the above issue.
If your TV is infact 4K compatible, then please note the following: 99% of 4K TV’s only have ONE 4K compatible HDMI port. This is usually HDMI port number 1.
For example, your new 4K TV may have 4 HDMI ports labelled HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3 & HDMI 4. But 3 out of the 4 HDMI ports are generally NOT 4K compatible. You can refer to your TV’s user manual to confirm. Please switch the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on your TV which is 4K compatible, and this should resolve your issue.
If all fails, please unplug the HDMI cable, and instead, use the AV cables (not supplied with all tv boxes). This cable has 1 black 3.5mm connection on one end, and 3 RED YELLOW WHITE RCA cables on the other end. The black 3.5mm connection plugs into the port which is usually labelled as “AV” on tv boxes. While the red yellow white cables plug into the back of your TV. You then need to change the channel on your TV to the AV source. The screen should appear, and then you can factory reset the box via the android settings. Once the reset is complete, you can use the HDMI cable again.
Had this problem trying to hook up Leelbox to RCA TV. Solved by plugging HDMI ports in FIRST, went to souce of HDMI port, waited to see ‘no signal’ bounce around screen THEN plugged in Android box…voila! This worked for me 🙂
I have just had a similar problem with my TX95, I set the resolution to Auto and the screen went blank, my box only has HDMI. Tried powering it down but still just a blank screen I then unplugged it for a few minutes and restarted it with the HDMI lead unplugged after 30 seconds or so I plugged the HDMI lead back in and it worked. Not sure how but I got my box back without having to do a reset.
Is there a fault with the h96 pro+ ? Ounce tried the rest button only to have it come fur a few seconds then the screen go black again is so frustrating
Hey Dave! We don’t sell the h96 pro+, but we can definitely help you fix it. It can either be a hardware fault, or a software/firmware problem. Either way, if you are keen to have the box up and running again, you can send it in for repairs. Our repair service package covers the following; minor hardware faults (including replacing/soldering power ‘fuses’ capacitors), software/firmware upgrades + installation of our custom media center kodi package with supermax. We tend to install custom (better) firmware on your device. If the device is found to be non-repairable > you will get your money back, or we can offer to provide you with an old box for no additional charge (depending on stock availability + your consent), aswell as big discounts on a new box from us. Matricom Box MX2 installed . Kodi not installed yet, but I was able to use chrome browser for Utube and to download a couple foreign lsnguage programs. Now the light disappeared from the box snd no signal flashing on screen. I unpluggeg cables and reconnected securely, still no signal on screen. Box less than 2 yrs old.
Using matricom mx2 box ok for the past 16 months. Kodi not yet installed but was using chrome browser for UTube and for downloading a couple other apps to see on TV. Blue light on bkx suddenly diappeared and ‘no signsl ‘ flashing on TV screen. Have unplugged all cables from box and TV and reconnected. What’s the problem?
If there is no longer a blue light, this likely indicates either a faulty power supply, or the box has become faulty. The cheapest method to troubleshoot is to purchase a new power supply 5V2A or 5V3A for testing. If this doesn’t resolve the problem, it is most likely a repairable hardware issue. We sell both the power supplies and also perform hardware repairs. Feel free to get in touch 🙂
FINALLY!!! Tried to figure this out multiple times and it was my resolution setting on my Minix! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
We have this problem with our Leelbox, No signal on Panasonic FHD TV. It was working for 2 months then just nothing, no signal on TV. Just says HDMI – Auto. The TV works fine with SKY HDMI in and everything else and the Leelbox works straight away on other TVs, projector, computer monitor etc. We changed HDMI Cables, Power sockets, remote control, soft reset, changed resolution settings on TV & Box (TV & Box were already on Auto Detect) changed the box from 1080p to 720p (TV wouldnt even turn on at 720p) Firmware Update and now just performed a Hard Reset on the box. Still no Signal from TV in different HDMI ports. We didnt change anything in the settings so is it a new update on the box not recognized on just this TV. Dont no what else we can do, Any suggestions? Much Appreciated! Thank you

I bought X92 Android Box just about a month ago and used it just for one day and packed it. Today I brought it out for used but it does not display on TV. Once I plug in the power, it will display “boot” and HDMI icon on the box but the TV screen remained blank. After the booting, it will display timing which I may call sleeping mode. and thats all. Nothing displayed on TV and the timer continues counting. I have tried all your suggestions above but nothing changed. Please can you make suggestions on how to resolve this problem?
