Some third party Kodi addons may ask you to visit a website to ‘pair’ your device before allowing you to watch the video stream.

Here is an example of a Kodi addon “pair” message:

To play this video, authorization is required.

Visit the link below to authorize the devices on your network: http://openload.co/pair then click “Pair”

If you get a pop up similar to the one quoted above, please see the below which will help to explain how to do so, and why you need to do it:

Some sources will ask you to do this, for the following reasons:

  1. to ensure that you are not a ‘robot’ or ‘computer bot’ which can hurt their website
  2. to ensure that you are a human, and an authentic person
  3. to make you visit their website 1 time (which may have some ads, which supports their server costs when you see them)

You do not need to do this from the box, you can do this from any device connected on your home internet.

For example, you can visit that website from your mobile phone, or from your laptop.

When you visit the website, you will see a box which says “im not a robot”, you need to click on that box so that it is ‘ticked’.

Once ticked, scroll down to the very bottom of the page, and there will be a button called ‘pair’ – if you click it, the stream will then load on the box – and you will be ‘paired’ with this website’s sources for 4 hours – without needing to ‘pair’ again.

Well that sums it up, I hope you find this information helpful 🙂
